Need Help – Apple and ArcGIS
I use VMWare Fusion (http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/overview.html) to run Windows on a Mac ~ K.C.

I have a friend that runs ArcGIS on a Mac using Parallels http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/ ~ I.K.
I have a macbook pro and installed parallels on it, which will allow a mac to boot into a windows platform (you do have to get windows). I installed the student version of ArcGIS onto it an it worked just fine. I’m not sure if you can run a full version on it, but the student version worked rather well. ~e.r.
Help! We are in the throws of planning the 2011 Texas GIS Forum (Oct. 24- 27) and we could sure use some guidance. We are soliciting for the following – presentation ideas, discussion topics, workshop/training classes, and presentation structure. We would really like to improve interaction and participation at the Forum using methods such as roundtable discussions, user ideas, and lightning talks. Topic ideas we are considering include data storage, web mapping technologies, data standards, interoperability, and certification/education. The question is, what does the community want to hear and talk about?

Does anyone knows how to increase the map size without having to reorganize all the elements in the layout view? I have a letter size map and I would like to increase it to poster size (36 X 24).
